Rick Warren is the founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA. He and his wife, Kay, held their first service on Easter Sunday in 1980. They served in their respective roles for over 40 years before passing their legacy onto their successors, Andy and Stacie Wood in August of 2022.
In an effort to commemorate Rick and Kay’s achievements, The Saddleback Times was born. This themed newspaper walked members of all ages through the history of Saddleback Church. Complete with its own crossword!

The back features a full-page art piece that pays homage to Saddleback's very first community facing sign by featuring Pastor Rick’s infamous catchphrase, “Have I told you lately that I love you?" in the iconic and nostalgic Cooper Black font.

The idea with this was to create an interactive moment. As Pastor Rick came on stage and said this to the congregation for the last time, they were able to show their love and appreciation back by holding this up to him.
